FIELD TEST
By Bill Krenz
MOXY™ SCENT SLAYER
It’s the same with nearly all big-game animals. If they see or hear you, they may spook. If they smell you, they will spook. For most big game, their sense of smell is their number one line of defense.
That’s why it’s so important when bowhunting to be as free of game-spooking human scent as possible. In recent years, all sorts of scent-elimination products have been created by hunters, just a few of which include scent-eliminator sprays, powders, detergents, pills, deodorants, shampoos, soaps, chewing gum and carbon- and silver-based scent-control clothing. Yet, the work to eliminate offending odors goes on.
Recently, a brand-new field of scent-elimination technique has been opened up. That new technique entails flooding the hunter’s clothing and gear with specialized oxygen molecules that work to eliminate existing odors and destroy all odor-causing bacteria. One of the pioneers in this exciting new field is MOXY™ Products of Ocala, Florida and MOXY™ already has a product for sportsmen.
The MOXY™ Scent Slayer is a device that is used to eradicate all odors on your clothing and gear before you go hunting. Simply plug it in, flip a switch and the MOXY™ system generates a steady flow of predatory, super-ionized, scent-killing oxygen molecules and then pumps that rarified air into a contained hanging bag designed to hold your clothing, boots and equipment. The patented MOXY™ Molecules created by the device are up to 12 times more powerful than natural ozone, making them lethal to all forms of odor-causing bacteria, mold, mildew, fungus, viruses and more. As unbelievable as it may seem, that high-tech MOXY™ air washing over your clothing and gear quickly eliminates all existing odors and completely eradicates the bacteria that could cause additional odors.
Being the skeptical sort, I set out to test those claims with a sample MOXY™ Scent Slayer.
Digging around in my gear closet, garage and my wife’s purse, I came up with three pungent test mediums--buck-in-rut gel scent, gasoline and perfume. Could the MOXY™ Scent Slayer eliminate those strong odors?
I began spooning a big dollop of the gel buck scent directly onto an absorbent paper cloth (whew!), and then plugged in the MOXY™ machine, turned it on and directed the hose so that it gently wafted MOXY™ Molecules over the stinky gel and towel. After just 60 seconds of exposure, I was shocked to discover that the gel and the towel no longer smelled. Nothing! Not a whiff of odor. Wow.
Then I repeated the experiment with the gasoline and the perfume, both of which typically create the sort of odors that seem to linger for a very long time. Both smells were obliterated after about five minutes of direct exposure to the MOXY™ air stream. Double wow!
Just for kicks, I grabbed a recently used all-leather hiking boot and stuck my nose in the top. Bad idea. It was rank. But after just four minutes of having the flowing MOXY™ hose tuck in the top, the boot seemed as scent-free as an ice cube.
The idea is that you can “MOXY™” all of your hunting clothing and gear just before you go hunting. Hang and place everything in the contained MOXY™ bag, connect the MOXY™ Scent Slayer machine and let it run on the automatic setting for either 15 or 30 minutes, as needed. All odors will be purged from your stuff by the MOXY™ Molecules.
If you won’t be using those odor-free hunting clothes for several days, store them in an airtight Ziploc bag. MOXY™ everything—underwear, socks, pants, shirt, jacket, gloves, cap, headnet, bandana, boots, backpack, everything.
On the morning you plan to hunt, eat breakfast first, and then bathe carefully with a good scent-elimination soap and shampoo. Dry off with a clean towel that you have treated with the MOXY™ system. After you’ve bathed, avoid all contact with odor-causing substances such as gasoline. Fill your vehicle with gas the day before you plan to bowhunt.
You may prefer to only put your MOXY™-treated clothing on once you reach your hunting location. The MOXY™ Scent Slayer comes complete with both a DC plug and an AC adapter. That adapter slips right into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter or power outlet, enabling you to use the MOXY™ machine any place you can drive.
You can even treat yourself—and particularly your hands and hair, which are notorious for holding all sorts of subtle odors—just before you dress. The MOXY™ Molecules are completely safe for humans and pets. Treating your hands, for example, will only take about 30 seconds. Simply hold your hands over the MOXY™ machine’s exhaust port for that short period of time.
In the field and in a pinch, you can also treat garments or gear with the MOXY™ Scent Slayer hooked up to a heavy-duty leaf bag. Don’t overstuff the bag. The MOXY™ Molecules will need room to circulate.
Humans are clever people, always looking for better ways to get closer to game. The new MOXY™ Scent Slayer takes scent-elimination for hunters to an all new level. With no scent, there is a significantly better chance that your shot will be a short one.

KILLING ALL SCENT
ONCE AGAIN, SCIENCE HAS TAKEN SCENT
ELIMINATION TO NEW HEIGHTS
What would you say about a totally new odor-control system that completely destroys and erases all doors on anything it comes in contact with? That means anything on you, your clothing, your equipment, even your hunting-vehicle upholstery—and it can be used over and over again? What would you say if this new odor-control system could handle your entire hunting outfit, from underwear to outer layers, after you’ve worn it for a long sweaty day in the field and gotten it covered with mud, blood or spilled bacon grease from breakfast? We’re talking ordinary fabric or the highest-tech scent-control technology and making it as utterly odor-free as if it were fresh-cleaned, with no need to wash it, clean it or regenerate it.
What would you say if this new odor-control system can work anywhere, even in a remote hunting camp, as long as you have access to a vehicle or an ATV 12-volt power outlet?
Impossible, right? Well, that’s what I thought, until I repeatedly saw it put to the test.
I had a raw, wet onion rubbed all over my hand. I then held my hand over the gentle, scentless, clean air blowing out of this new system, and in twenty seconds all trace of the onion’s odor was completely erased. Not covered up. Eliminated. I saw a damp, sweaty cotton T-shirt peeled off after repeated hard workouts in a gym, then thrown directly into an ordinary plastic garbage bag and exposed to air blown into the closed bag from this new system, and after twenty minutes the shirt came out of the bag utterly odor-free, smelling like it had been scent-free washed and hung on an open outdoor clothesline.
I then had raw, undiluted doe urine scent poured over my hand. I shook the drips off and held it over the output air from the system. After twenty seconds my hand smelled utterly clean. No trace of the urine odor remained.
Okay, what is this?
It’s called the MOXY™ Scent Elimination System. It utilizes an “ionized super-oxidant” oxygen molecule, which eliminates all existing odors in hunting apparel and is absolutely lethal to all forms of odor-causing bacteria, fungus, mold, mildew, viruses and other microorganisms but isn’t harmful to humans, pets or anything that has lungs.
The MOXY™ System kit utilizes the portable MOXY™ Generation Unit (DC-powered with AC adapter) plus a simple garment bag to treat hunting apparel for total scent elimination (other MOXY™ accessories are available, and a garbage bag does work in a pinch). Properly utilized (MOXY™ provides a “Use & Field Recommendations” pamphlet); the system will put a hunter into the woods virtually odor-free. From coats to boots, from caps to gloves, even hair and skin, virtually every part of the hunter and his gear can be rendered odorless through the MOXY™ technology merely by being exposed to MOXY™ air.
So, what is MOXY™, and how does it work? The science is highly technical, but here’s as simple an understanding as I can provide. Oxygen, in its stable, natural state, is designated by the symbol “O2”, two oxygen atoms united into one, ionically-neutral oxygen molecule. The MOXY™ Generation Unit takes oxygen from the air and generates highly unstable, supercharged O3 , O4 and O5 molecule bundles comprising various types of metal ions (selected for energy storage capacity, density and other properties to control activity and life of the molecule relative to the application) with various triatomic, quadatomic and quinatomic oxygen atom clusters cling to the outside, programmable in clusters up to O14. The final molecule looks somewhat like a Bucky Ball. This enables the manufacturer to program the newly formed, predatory MOXY™ molecules for energy density, penetration and potency, duration of activity and direction at specific targets (odor-causing bacteria, etc.).
These supercharged and heavily laden oxygen molecules (MOXY™) are fan-forced out of the MOXY™ Generation Unit and repel away from one another, each molecule actively seeking ionic neutralization and molecular stability. In other words, they return to their normal O2 state. The MOXY™ molecules are very unstable and naturally repel one another; dispersing throughout whatever area they are vented. These molecules then aggressively seek neutrality by attacking and chemically combining with carbon-based microorganisms like bacteria, altering their very molecular makeup and vaporizing them. Thus, the byproducts of MOXY™ generation and application are nothing but carbon dioxide, water vapor, oxygen and nitrogen-all natural components of our surrounding air.
MOXY™ is not ozone (ozone is a naturally occurring element and cannot be patented). However, as MOXY™ breaks down from instability, ozone is present at the last moment before neutrality at O2. The strong penetration properties of MOXY™ are due to its natural ionic attractions and the velocity of MOXY™ molecules as they exit the MOXY™ Generator. Because of its charged metal ion component, MOXY™ remains active while seeking its natural neutrality of O2 for duration up to twenty minutes. This means that if you put on a MOXY™-treated garment fresh from the system (within twenty minutes), the remaining active molecules will seek out your skin and hair, cleansing them from existing odors and odor-causing bacteria.
This occurs because as the initial contact area is ionically neutralized, the MOXY™ molecules move in a predatory, wave-like action, called the Ionic Wave Effect, seeking more areas to neutralize until all accessible areas are reached or the molecules exhausted. Bacteria carry their own ionic charge, and once in contact with the MOXY™, bacteria are rapidly disintegrated through a radical chemical reaction, dissolving all organics as this occurs. So, first all existing odors are eliminated. Afterward, no microbes remain alive to create additional odors. For a hunter, this means you can come in from a morning hunt all muddy, bloody, dirty and smelly, treat your clothes with the MOXY™ and return from your afternoon hunt—still muddy, bloody and dirty but scent-free.
All I can say is, it works. One hunter testing the preproduction units had purchased a used pickup truck previously owned by a heavy smoker to use as a hunt vehicle. He left the MOXY™ Generation Unit running in the closed cab (plugged into the 12V power outlet) while it was parked in his driveway. It took a while, but after a few days of this the MOXY™ had penetrated so deeply into the upholstery that all traces of the smoker’s odor were gone from the cab. He even reported that he could sense a whiff of “new-car smell” coming back.
Another hunter spent a day in his suit-and-tie office, then changed into his hunting gear, which he’d freshly MOXY™-charged in a garment bag at work. While driving to his afternoon deer stand, the MOXY™ in the clothing deodorized his body, and once at his parking place, he also put his head, hair and hands in the MOXY™ exhaust stream and re-treated his gloves, face netting, hat and boots. Even the lingering smell of his morning shampoo and aftershave was removed.
